A one-person studio + AI

We sniff out better software — and ship it.

SniffSafari Labs builds real, production apps by vibe coding with Claude. Three apps are live or on the way. We also bottled the method.

The studio
Built in retirement, by one human and one very capable AI — with the discipline of someone who shipped software for a living.

No team, no runway pressure, no committee. Just a clear method for turning ideas into tested, deployed, real apps — fast. "Vibe coding" with guardrails: brainstorm, spec, plan, test, ship.

The work

Four things we've sniffed out

One in App Store beta, one you can download tonight, one on the way, and one open to everybody.

● Live · iPhone + Android
Consumer app

Chalk

The chalkboard next to the dartboard, on your phone. Type in what each dart was worth — Chalk does the arithmetic, tells you what to aim for when a finish is on, and keeps the score where the whole party can see it. No account, no history, nothing to sign up for.

● In beta
Consumer app

NoteAdventure

Music practice, turned into an adventure. Young musicians log practice, earn XP, and level up through musical worlds while parents and teachers follow along.

The method behind the apps, productized. A Claude Code plugin + teaching companion that gives any project the same discipline: sprints, specs, tests, IP logs.

A look inside Sommelier Snap

Never stare down a wine list again

You're at dinner, facing a huge wine list with names you don't know. Snap a photo — Sommelier Snap finds the wine you'll love, and gets smarter every time you use it.

Sommelier Snap — scanning a restaurant wine list to find matches
Snap the wine listTake a photo of any restaurant wine list and the AI reads every bottle on it.
Sommelier Snap — why a recommended wine fits your taste, with award badges
The one you'll loveThe app curates the wine list down to the one that'll delight you — with the story behind the bottle and the winery.
Sommelier Snap — rating a wine you tried to refine future picks
The app learns your tasteRate what you drink and every recommendation lands closer than the last.
A look inside Chalk

Nobody wants to do subtraction at a party

It's your turn to keep score, three drinks into the evening, and somebody still has to work out 501 minus 40. Chalk handles the arithmetic and calls the checkout, so the game keeps moving and nobody has to ask what's left.

Chalk — the home screen, offering 501, Cricket, and Around the Clock
Pick a game, start throwing501, Cricket, or Around the Clock. Any number of teams, any number of players per team, or everyone for themselves.
Chalk — a 501 game in progress showing each team's score and the three darts just thrown
Type three darts, hit EnterChalk knows all three ways to bust and keeps the running total in front of the room. Undo replays the match from the start, so it stays right even in Cricket, where the scoring does not run backwards.
Chalk — settings, naming the board and choosing between three scoreboard themes
Name the board, pick a lookMachined scoreboard, hand-chalked slate, or a pub at night. Chalk remembers the board name and the theme — and nothing else about your night.

About

Curiosity Unleashed.

SniffSafari Labs is a Massachusetts studio run by a retired tech exec who spent decades shipping customer-facing software — and now builds for the joy of it, with Claude as a co-founder.

Named for two labradoodles, Summit and River, who are very good at sniffing out what's interesting. We try to do the same with software.
